Born in Langford and living in Saanich close to the University of Victoria, Don and his amazing wife along with their two wonderful children and French bulldog Joey enjoy life in a 1970s house they are bringing up to modern living. Don was raised in a family with little extra funds to spare and appreciates the value of a dollar. Don strongly enjoys helping others, restoring old VW cars and travelling with his family.
He volunteers his time helping others in vulnerable positions by way of his Thirty Minute Projects (invest 30 minutes each day to help others) which include picking up, refurbishing and rehoming computers to families and organizations that need them, picking up, sorting and laundering and rehoming clothing to vulerable youth in Greater Victoria, and bringing food (Hunger Heros - COMING SOON) to students and families in need, largely through his working with local schools.
Within six months of graduating from Belmont High School in 1994, Don created and grew a successful computer chain expanding to seven province wide stores that became a household name. Growing it into a multi-million dollar grossing company financed his entry into real estate and investment properties, and thoroughly taught him the many ups and downs of entrepreneurship at a young age. As a result Don is very financially and technically inclined and uses this knowledge to implement many original and unique aspects into his real estate career.
Don focuses on his clients rather than the commissions, one of the primary reasons for his success. The selling and buying process should be a very exciting, enjoyable and comfortable process, a belief that Don holds true. The majority of Don's business over the last 15 years is referral based, a consequence of his paramount honesty, integrity and accountability to his clients.
He's a member of Profit Magazine’s Top 100 fastest growing companies, and has been honoured to win several awards including Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year (twice), and Top 40 Under 40 (at age 30).
